Get to know the Oral Health Risks of Vaping

Are you addicted to cigarette smoking? If yes, then you might think the e-cigarette is a wonderful alternative to this hazardous health risk. To much extent, you’re right but everything has its own set of pros and cons. And in the case of vaping, there are oral health risks that must need to be understood.
What is vaping?

Electronic or smokeless cigarettes run on battery. Its complex functionality is comprised of a heating component and a cartridge where nicotine and other flavorings are fitted. Rather than the typical combustion system of analog cigarettes that include tobacco, fire, and the emission of harmful chemicals, e-cigs automatically converts nicotine into vapor. The extenuated term used for the use of e-cig is known as “vaping”.

It may be correct that vaping doesn’t lead to bad breath, plaque calcification, and teeth discoloration, but the bitter truth is that e-cigs, like its conventional predecessor, can cause periodontal diseases as a result of nicotine ingestion. So, it is true that there are various oral health risks of vaping that can’t be ignored.

Several studies have revealed that the consumption of nicotine through e-cigarettes put an individual’s dental health at risk. And if you notice any unusual symptoms, don’t hesitate in visiting a good dentist in your region.

The manufacturers and dealers of e-cigarettes say that their product is a safer and healthier therapeutic option to help smokers change the habit. However, in the absence of any solid scientific study to back this belief, it is always suggest refraining from smoking or vaping altogether, and just going with FDA-approved anti-smoking habits.
